Pre-Game: Bucks vs. Knicks 7:30 PM

The New York Knicks are struggling and tonight they have to face a Milwaukee Bucks team that is also struggling. Both teams have lost multiple games in a row. Tonight one of their losing streaks will end while the other one will continue. The Knicks are coming off a lost to the Phoenix Suns in which the production from Carmelo Anthony. The Knicks struggled as Anthony scored just 12 points. Early on in the game Anthony was able to get four assists pretty quickly, but started shooting and wasn’t making any of them. The Knicks need Anthony to play as a team player and not fall in love with just shooting the ball. If your shot is not falling get your teammates involved and hopefully the offense will pick up. The bench scored 7 points total and that cannot happen if a team wants to win games. The Knicks are expecting Anthony to play tonight despite his ankle and wrist sprains.Carmelo Anthony

The Knicks defense has been much better this season, but the offense has been the issue. This season has started very slow for the Knicks and they have to figure things out before they fall further behind. Amare Stoudemire played really well in the last game. He scored a team high 23 points, but turned the ball over six times in that game. Stoudemire has to play disciplined and under control.

The play of Iman Shumpert and Landry Fields was much improved in the last game. Both played exceptionally well and put the Knicks in a position to win the game. Shumpert scored 20 points and was the hot hand as the game ended. He looked much better in that he was able to score the ball with less missed shots. Fields on the other hand had a very great game. He was able to score 17 points and had 4 assists. If the Knicks can get some consistency out of Fields they could possibly solve most of their problems.

Tonight the Knicks will have to stop Brandon Jennings who wanted to be drafted by the Knicks, but it never happened. Jennings always brings his best effort when he faces the Knicks. If the Knicks can stop Jennings they will basically win the game. The Bucks are 4-9 and are fourth in the Central Division Standings. They are looking to get a win against the Knicks who are struggling to find offense consistently. The Bucks will be without Stephen Jackson who was suspended one game by the team for an “unexcused absent” for a shoot around.

The Knicks need a win tonight and a win against a team they can beat. The team is frustrated with the way things are going, but they have to fight through this and get this win. Let’s go Knicks!
