Pre-Game: Nuggets vs. Knicks 7:30 PM

image

Tonight the New York Knicks will be looking to end a five game losing streak. The Knicks are coming off an embarrassing lost to the Milwaukee Bucks. In that game the Knicks played little defense and allowed the Bucks to score at will.

But tonight is a big game for the Knicks simply because these two teams made a blockbuster trade last February. Danilo Gallinari will be returning to Madison Square Garden for the first time since the trade. His team is playing very well to start the season and is in position to make the playoffs.

This game could possibly be over before it starts. The Nuggets can score the ball and the Knicks have to play outstanding defense to stop them.

Carmelo Anthony played well in yesterday’s game, but the team is going to have to play collectively to get this win. Over the past five games the Knicks have gone away from a team effort and have struggled to play as a group. Offensively they are relying too much on Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. Every time down the floor the Knicks have to have either of them shoot. They have to get everyone involved no matter if they are struggling.

Basketball is a team sport and the Knicks are not playing as a team. Guys are worried about themselves and you can never win like that. The Knicks need this win and a lost tonight will make things much tougher next week. This is a game the Knicks need to clamp down defensively and open up offensively. Please check back here after the game for post-game coverage of the Nuggets vs. Knicks. Let’s Go Knicks!
