Knicks defeat T-Wolves 100-98

The New York Knicks played the Minnesota Timberwovles tonight looking for their fifth straight win. This was a game the Knicks would need to stay patient and hope things would turn out their way.

The Knicks fell behind by 11 points early on, Landry Fieldsbut were able to get back into the game. The Wolves led most of the game, but the Knicks were able to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. Jeremy Lin played well early on, but all of the minutes seemed to catch up with him. Lin was still able to score 20 points, grab 6 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists. Lin was a crucial during the entire game simply because he is able to get his teammates involved. The play of Landry Fields tonight can not go unnoticed as he scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists. Fields played very well as he played great defense down the stretch that led to this win. Fields was able to get to the hoop and get easy baskets. This Knicks team seems more together and everything is falling perfect for this team.

Iman Shumpert produced 20 points tonight off the bench and really helped when he was able to hit shots late in the fourth quarter. He fouled out but his defense was very great tonight. Shumpert had 4 steals which created opportunities for the Knicks. This is the production Shumpert has to give every night in order for the Knicks to have success every night.

The play of Steve Novak was spectacular as he scored 15 points off the bench and hit some big shots for the Knicks late in this game. Novak continues to find success as he plays with Jeremy Lin. He is hitting shot after shot and keeping the Knicks hopes alive in getting a win. This game proves that if you keep fighting the game can turn in your favor. The Knicks will now rest up the next couple of days before their game Tuesday against the Raptors. Also Amare Stoudemire is expected to return in that game after missing the entire week after the death of his older brother.
