Knicks fall to Celtics 91-89

The New York Knicks traveled to Boston to face the Celtics. The Knicks were looking to get a win after their lost to the Bulls last night. This game went the way of the Knicks early on, but in the second half everything went the Celtics way. There were plenty of questionable calls that went the other way, but the Knicks couldn’t hit shots when they needed them.

Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points while Amare Stoudemire scored 16 points. Both played very well including Tyson Chandler who scored 20 points. The Knicks big three did really well despite the tough Celtic defense. The second half really ended the Knicks hopes of winning this game. Toney Douglas came in but was very unproductive and came away with a –9 point deferential once he came out of the game. Douglas has been the person that has made it hard for the Knicks to win these games. He continues to struggle this season and this could have possibly been his last game for a while.Paul Pierce

This game was close in the fourth quarter, but the Knicks were never able to get a big enough lead to win this game. Any time a team is in a close game with the Celtics in the fourth quarter, they always seem to have things go their way. The Knicks were unable to get the necessary shots to win this game. The Knicks have to continue to fight through this tough start. They are real close to winning games, but they have to continue playing as a team.

Paul Pierce had a game high with 30 points and was a key the Celtics winning this game. He was able to hit shot after shot that ended the Knicks hopes of winning this game.

The Knicks will now have to face the New Jersey Nets hoping to get a win. This lost really hurts the Knicks who are struggling to find wins. But they have to continue the fight and hopefully some of these losses will turn into wins.
