“Linsanity” reigns!!! Knicks defeat Raptors 90-87

The New York Knicks traveled to Toronto to face the Raptors in hope of getting their sixth win in a row. The Knicks welcomed back Amare Stoudemire who missed four games due to the death of his brother. He was hoping to bring some energy and some scoring to the team tonight.

The Knicks trailed for most of the game and fell down by 17 points.Jeremy Lin But in the fourth quarter the Knicks were able to comeback to tie the game. And in the dying seconds Jeremy Lin would hit the biggest shot of his career a three to give the Knicks the lead. The Raptors had .5 seconds left to get off a shot, but they wouldn’t get the shot off in time. Lin played a major role in the Knicks comeback win as he scored 27 points and dished out 11 assists. Lin started off terrible, but was able to get involved in the second half. This game proved that Lin is the real deal and that he can hit the shots needed to make it in the NBA. Tonight has really propelled Lin into the hearts of the fans as he continues to deliver for the team.

The play of Iman Shumpert down the stretch really put the Knicks in a position to win the game. Shumpert played great defense on Jose Calderon in the fourth quarter and was able to force turnovers and get offensive opportunities for the team. Shumpert scored 8 points and had 4 steals. This is what the Knicks need off the bench someone who can come in and play great defense and score.

This game was very frustrated game for the Knicks, but they were able to get through the frustration by forcing turnovers and scoring the ball. Amare Stoudemire scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in his return to the team. Tyson Chandler scored 13 and grabbed 9 rebounds, he also had some key blocks that gave the Knicks opportunities in the fourth quarter.

“Linsanity” is reigning supreme for the Knicks right now as they continue to win games behind their new point guard. The last two games Lin has given his all for the team and is putting them in opportunities to win. The Knicks will now have to face the Sacramento Kings tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden. But for the moment “Linsanity” has proven itself once again.
