Pre-Game: Bulls vs. Knicks 8:00 PM

image

Tonight the Knicks will be tested against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference in the Chicago Bulls. This will be the first of four meetings of the season between the two teams.Carmelo Anthony The Knicks are coming off a blowout win over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. Carmelo Anthony returned in that game and looked much better shooting the ball. He ended up with 25 points in what was an easy game for the Knicks.

Tonight there will be a much harder time trying to score the ball. The Knicks have to stick with moving the ball simply because tonight is going to be very frustrating. One thing the Knicks will have in their favor is that the Bulls are coming off a lost to the 76ers last night and the Bulls may be slower tonight. This game will be a nationally televised game so the Knicks have to play at their best.

Landry Fields will be the x-factor for the Knicks. If he can score 15 points tonight that will be very great for the Knicks. Fields has played exceptionally well this last week. He is very important to this team and when his confidence is high he plays really well. The shooting aspect of his game is really better. The Knicks are in need of a scorer and at this point Fields is looking like the solution.

The Knicks will be relying heavily on their back court of Toney Douglas and Iman Shumpert. Both will be guarding Derrick Rose tonight. Rose is arguably the toughest point guard in the league simply because of his ability to get to the hoop. Rose is really quick with everything he does. He may be underrated in his passing ability simply because he doesn’t have many shooters. But Rose will be the key in everything the Bulls do tonight. Douglas and Shumpert will need to play smart defense on him because he can shoot, pass, and get to the hoop.

The Knicks will be going up against a top-five defense tonight. The Bulls are excellent in holding opponents from scoring the ball often, so expect this game to be close throughout. This game will be a huge win for the Knicks if they could pull out a win. They are in need of a confidence booster and a win tonight would give them all of the confidence in the world.

Tonight’s game could be watched on TNT at 8:00 PM right after the announcement of the All-Star starters. Let’s go Knicks!
