Pre-Game: Jazz vs. Knicks 7:30 PM

The New York Knicks will faceoff against the Utah Jazz tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are coming off a win against the New Jersey Nets Saturday night. In that game Jeremy Lin impressed everyone as he dropped 25 points off the bench. Lin will now start tonight along with Jared Jeffries. Earlier today the Knicks announced that Amare Stoudemire left the team to be with his family after the death of his brother.

Tonight the Knicks will have to play very hard against a very Carmelo Anthonyimproved Utah Jazz team. This game should be very interesting to watch simply because the Knicks now have a better point guard option. If Lin can get the offense rolling tonight the Knicks will be very interesting team to watch. Carmelo Anthony had a tough game on Saturday night, but expect him to be ready to lead this team tonight. Anthony played much better once Lin was in the game. Everyone was cutting to the basket and Lin was finding most of the cutters. That game gives Knicks fans hope that one day with a great point guard they could win a championship.

Landry Fields was quiet in the game against the Nets, but he has put together a spectacular last two weeks. Fields is the player that the Knicks need to play hard every night. At that position Fields has to get rebounds and get a few assists a night. So far this season his latest games have shown that he can play when the ball is moving. In the last game Fields struggled to find his shot, but that could be because of the three straight games. Tonight Fields needs to come out and play his game in hopes of getting his team the win.

The Utah Jazz are having a very successful start to their season as they have accumulated a 13-9 record. The Jazz are coming off a win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night. They will pose a threat with their powerful frontcourt of Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap. Both can score with ease and can score 30 points each night. Tonight the Knicks will have to defend this deadly duo in hopes of limiting their production.

This game will be very big if the Knicks can win it. They could start their climb up the standings if they can start getting wins against tough teams. Tonight’s game can be watched on MSG or NBA TV. Let’s go Knicks!
