The New York Knicks will take on the Miami Heat tonight at the American Airlines Arena. The Knicks are coming off a blow out win against the Atlanta Hawks last night. While the Heat are well rested and are coming off a win against the Sacramento Kings. Both teams are playing well and tonight should be very intense and entertaining.
Jeremy Lin will have to lead this team again tonight as he goes up against possibly his toughest test of the season. Lin will possibly be guarded by LeBron James tonight and he will have to use his quickness to offset the physical game the Heat will try to present. The Heat have the best defense in the Eastern Conference so the Knicks will have to play smart and limit the turnovers.
Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire will have to score tonight. There is absolutely no guarantees that the bench will be effective tonight. These two have to be effective tonight otherwise the Knicks can possibly lose in a big way tonight. The Knicks always find a way to compete against the elite teams so tonight should be a close game. Tyson Chandler will have to stay free from fouls in this game in order for the Knicks to win this game. Chandler has been the anchor of the Knicks defense and tonight he will need to be there in full force.
Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James will all be looking to have a big night. They all have played very well this season and continue to shut teams down with their great defense. The Heat are much improved from last season, but still have matchup problems. Wade and James have played very well and have deadly chemistry that is seen every game. Expect both to play very well tonight in hopes of beating the Knicks. James is having possibly his best season and is showing that he his the best all around player in the league.
Tonight’s game can be watched on TNT at 7:00 PM. This game will be a measuring stick for the Knicks to see how far they have come. If the Knicks win tonight they will finish a game above .500 to end the first half of the season. If the Knicks lose tonight they can only walk away saying that they still need to work on some things. Let’s go Knicks!
