Around the NBA: 3/13/2012

Games Worth Mentioning:

Heat vs. Magic: This game was filled with excitement from the opening tip. Dwight Howard played in possibly his final home game with the Magic. Howard played hard and really helped his team get the win. But every big man needs his point guard, and Jameer Nelson really came through tonight. Nelson scored 25 points and really hit some big shots when the Magic needed them. The Heat were great too, but they were never able to hit shots late that would have won them the game.

Rockets vs. Thunder: The upset of the night by far as the Rockets beat the Thunder 104-103. Most notably the Rockets were without Kevin Martin and Kyle Lowry in this game and they were still able to beat the Thunder. Kevin Durant missed the go ahead basket with time winding down late in the 4th quarter. Durant finished the game with 28 points and 12 rebounds. This is just the second loss on the Thunder’s home court all season.
