Knicks fall to Raptors 96-79

The Knicks suffered their first lost under Mike Woodson tonight against the Raptors. This game was very tough for the Knicks who came out flat and never looked like they wanted this game. Carmelo Anthony scored 12 points and Amare Stoudemire led the team with 17 points. Countless times tonight Tyson Chandler missed easy opportunities at the basket and he could get anything to fall. He rebounded the ball well, but shot really poor.

This lost isn’t anything big, but the Knicks will have to play again tomorrow and they have to come out and play hard. Tonight they looked lost in the offense and everyone seemed to be tired. Tomorrow they face the Detroit Pistons at Madison Square Garden and will need to be energized to win that game.

Jared Jeffries missed the game tonight because of a sore right knee and he was really missed. Jeffries makes the little plays that allow the Knicks to get opportunities to score. Tonight was a prime example of his absence and how it made tonight a very tough game to win.

The Knicks lost tonight collectively and have to regroup as a team in order to start winning again.
