The New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks will face off in a game tonight that will have playoff implications. The Knicks currently lead the Bucks by 1.5 games in the Eastern Conference standings. Both teams have had a roller coaster ride of a season, but right now both teams are having success.
Carmelo Anthony will have to be the leader tonight, as Amare Stoudemire will likely miss the game due to a back injury. Anthony has played up and down all season and tonight could be a very great night for him, if he is able to play well in this big game. This yet another big game for the Knicks and they need their leader in Carmelo Anthony to be effective tonight.
It is likely that Jeremy Lin will play despite having some soreness in his left knee. Earlier today Lin did practice with the team which makes him more likely to play tonight.
Defensively the Knicks have played very well and they are becoming very effective on that end of the floor. They have also done very well rebounding over the last few games and tonight they will need to do the same. Ersan Ilyasova rebound the ball really well for the Bucks and tonight he will be the guy the Knicks need to keep from grabbing rebounds.
The second unit will need to be very sharp on both ends of the floor tonight. They have done an excellent job in keeping the same energy level as the starters and are hitting threes that are making them very potent offensively. If the bench is able to create turnovers they will win this game simply because they are very dangerous.
Tonight look for the Knicks to come out looking to win this game. They have to play hard tonight otherwise they will lose this game. The Bucks are very good now that they have Monta Ellis who can score the ball. This game will be on ESPN and MSG tonight at 7:30 PM as the Knicks look to defeat the Bucks. Let’s go Knicks!
