Pre-Game: Knicks vs. Bulls 8:00 PM

The New York Knicks will play the Chicago Bulls tonight as the Knicks look to snap a five game losing streak.

Carmelo Anthony was booed yesterday by the Madison Square Garden fans. As the teams leader Anthony hasn’t shown that he can be the leader to settle the commotion down. Instead Anthony has struggled to be the leader the Knicks know he can be. Tonight the Knicks will be leaning heavily on his production. The question will be whether he can be productive tonight.

Amare Stoudemire was very disappointing yesterday as he contributed 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in yesterday’s game. Stoudemire has struggled to get his shot off in the paint and countless times has been blocked. The importance for Stoudemire tonight is to get his shot going. He is struggling with his shot which is making the Knicks very stagnant on the offensive end.

Tonight Jeremy Lin will be matched up against Derrick Rose. Lin will need to play smart and avoid fouls. Over the last few games Lin has struggled to find the open teammates. As the teams point guard Lin needs to find a way to incorporate the star players more easily. So far Lin hasn’t fit in with them the way the Knicks have wanted.

The Bulls tonight will be without Luol Deng and Richard Hamilton who are both out with injuries. The Knicks still won’t have an easy time tonight simply because the Bulls have a deep team. Derrick Rose will be a big threat to the Knicks defense. His ability to penetrate makes him very hard to stop. The Knicks will need to somehow stop him from penetrating and let someone else beat them.

Energy is how the Knicks can win this game. If they come out not wanting to win this game, they will lose and possibly fall out of the playoff picture. This game can be seen on MSG or ESPN. Let’s go Knicks!
