The New York Knicks will play the San Antonio Spurs tonight in what will be another tough test. The Knicks are coming off a tough lost to the Dallas Mavericks in which they trialed by 19 points before taking the lead in the fourth quarter. They were unable to get baskets late in the game which really took away any continuity the team had.
In that game Carmelo Anthony had possibly his worst game of the season as he scored just 6 points. Tonight expect Anthony to come out wanting to set the tone for his team. Anthony has been the topic of discussion all season long and tonight will be no different. It seems as if Anthony is unsure about himself right now. He needs to just play his game and forget about what everyone is trying to make him do.
Amare Stoudemire last night played his best game yet. He was able to get the ball down in the paint and score using his quickness. His shot is still off, but to see him moving well gives the Knicks a better chance to win more games. Tonight Stoudemire will have to go up against Tim Duncan. This matchup could be very pivotal in the Knicks winning this game. If Stoudemire can somehow limit Duncan from scoring at a high rate the Knicks will have a better opportunity to win.
This game can possibly be a make or break moment for the Knicks who are coming off two losses in which they had opportunities to win. Tonight’s game can be watched on MSG at 8:30 PM. The Knick will try to stop the losing streak and get back to winning. Let’s go Knicks!
