Pre-Game: Pacers vs. Knicks 7:30 PM

The New York Knicks will face the Indiana Pacers tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are coming off a win against the Portland Trail Blazers where they won by 42 points. Mike Woodson replaced Mike D’Antoni after D’Antoni decided to resign before the last game.

Tonight the Knicks are being watched to see how good this team really is now that a change has been made. Carmelo Anthony had a very nice game in the last contest as he scored 16 points and 7 assists.Carmelo Anthony and Mike Woodson Amare Stoudemire scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Both stars led this team the last game which they haven’t done in quite some time. They looked more energized and played the game with aggressiveness.

This team right now has the potential to be great, but so far haven’t showed any consistency to be great. Tonight the Knicks need to come out and play some defense. That has been the main issue for them and if they can play defense they will win many games. Tyson Chandler has been the most consistent player for the Knicks. His effort is always there and he plays outstanding defense for the Knicks. Chandler will have his hands full tonight as he takes on Roy Hibbert.

The Indiana Pacers are possibly going to be the toughest team to beat in the playoffs because they have depth. Yesterday they acquired Leandro Barbosa from the Toronto Raptors and that move can possibly make them even better. David West, Danny Granger, Darren Collison, and Paul George are very talented and have shown this season that they can really play hard. They have put the Pacers in 5th place in the Eastern Conference and they continue to win games. This will be very tough tonight for the Knicks, but if they play defense they will win this game.

Live from Madison Square Garden the Knicks will look at this game as one they want and need. They have to continue to win games if they want to keep their playoff aspirations alive. This game can be seen on MSG at 7:30 PM as the Knicks look to beat a very tough Pacers team. Let’s go Knicks!
