The New York Mets have announced that LHP Tim Byrdak will miss the next six weeks after surgery is done to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. In correspondence with Byrdak being out the Mets will bring LHP Josh Edgin. The Mets have Chuck James and Garrett Olson in camp and they are expected to be in line to fill that void.
