BY THE NUMBERS: Carmelo Anthony

During the last five games for Carmelo Anthony he is averaging 32 points. And has given the Knicks a 3-2 record during that stretch. Anthony is playing his best basketball of the season right now and is putting the team on his back. As the regular season begins to conclude the Knicks will need Anthony to continue to play at this high level. Not only has his offense been better, but his defense has played a major role in the Knicks success. Anthony has 7 steals and 3 blocks over the last five games. That effort in itself makes Anthony even more important to the team.

For the entire season Anthony has played in 48 games this season and has an even record of 24-24 when he plays this season. Over the next eight games it is important that Anthony plays hard every night and tries to do his best in helping the Knicks win games.
