Knicks blow past Magic 96-80

The New York Knicks had a very good night tonight as they defeated the Orlando Magic 96-80. This was another great performance out of this team. After losing a heartbreaking game to the Pacers, the Knicks were able to win this game with ease tonight.

Carmelo Anthony played a very hard fought game, as he led the Knicks with 19 points. Anthony was very effective with getting his shots off and made six shots, but was able to help in other aspects of the game. He dove for a loose ball and found his teammates for open shots. This is the kind of player Anthony is and has to continue to be. As the leader Anthony has to continue playing a team game in hopes of getting his team a win.

The player that really stole the show tonight was the resurrection of Toney Douglas. He really played a great game. Douglas scored 15 points, dished out 6 assists, and grabbed 5 rebounds. This was by far one of his best games of the season. This is what the Knicks want out of him, some type of effort and effect on the game. Tonight is a game that Douglas can build upon and hopefully he can.

All around this was a very great performance out of the Knicks. JR Smith had 15 points and 9 assists tonight as he continues to play well. Smith was very efficient with his passing tonight. He was scrutinized for his lack of professionalism after the lost to the Pacers, but tonight Smith really stepped up.

The Knicks will face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon and that will be another huge test. Tonight the Knicks played hard and made life tough for the Magic. They have to continue to win despite the tougher schedule.
