Mets lose to Giants 7-2

The New York Mets continued to struggle tonight as their offense plated just two runs. The pithing also had struggles as well. Dillon Gee went 6.2 innings allowing 7 runs on 12 hits. This was a terrible performance from Gee who allowed a career worst 12 hits tonight. The Mets have to get better starting pitching in games. Tonight Gee gave up three early runs that put the Mets behind really early in the game. In his next start Gee has to limit the hits and help keep his team in the game.

Justin Turner started at first base tonight and plated the first run for the Mets in the 4th inning. Then in the 8th inning the Mets scored on a sac-fly from Daniel Murphy that gave the Mets their second run of the night. They would load the bases for Ike Davis, but for the third time today Davis was unable to cash in any runs. The Mets would go on to lose 7-2.

Jordany Valdespin made his major league debut, but popped up with the bases loaded in the 8th inning. The Mets are now back to .500 after their 4-0 start.
