Pre-Game: Celtics vs. Knicks 8:00 PM

image

The New York Knicks will face the Boston Celtics tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are coming off a very tough lost the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon. After that loss the Knicks slipped to the 8th spot in the east, but a 76ers lost last night put the Knicks back in the 7th spot.

Tonight the Knicks have another tough game. The Boston Celtics have been playing very good since the All-Star break and tonight look to stop the Knicks from beating them for the second time this season. As the regular season starts to end, the Knicks are looking for another big win against a playoff team. This game will be very tough on both teams, but the best team will win tonight.

Carmelo Anthony has played exceptionally well since the coaching change. Tonight Anthony will have a yet another good game, but can his teammates help him out? So far Anthony has picked up the scoring load, but with that has come a since of struggle for everyone else. In the last game Anthony scored 42 points and the only other player to score in double figures was JR Smith. In the game tonight the Knicks will need a collective effort to win this game. Anthony is not going to be able to win this game by himself.

This morning the Knicks held a shoot around, but Baron Davis left early because of knee soreness. The Knicks said that Davis received treatment and will play tonight. With Davis being hampered by injury the Knicks really have no chance at winning games without having a productive point guard. Jeremy Lin was very productive with his time on the floor, but he is out possibly the rest of the season. Toney Douglas and Mike Bibby haven’t found their game and the Knicks could really use one of them to step up.

This game will be televised on TNT at 8:00 PM as the Knicks look to stop the Celtics from beating them again. Let’s go Knicks!
