Pre-Game: Knicks vs. Bulls 9:30 PM

Tonight the New York Knicks will face the Chicago Bulls. After the Knicks beat the Bulls in overtime on Sunday afternoon the Bulls are seeking revenge. It is unknown at this time if Derrick Rose will play tonight because of an injury to his ankle. Rose reportedly was seen in a walking boot on Monday after he injured his ankle in Sunday’s game against the Knicks. Right now the Knicks are preparing for Rose to play, but it sounds as if he may miss the game.

Carmelo Anthony has been playing his best basketball as a Knick over the last couple of weeks. Tonight look for Anthony to be the force to try to get the Knicks past the Bulls again. Anthony is coming off his best performance as a Knick, when he scored 43 points in the game Sunday afternoon. He hit the Carmelo Anthonytying basket and the game winning basket in that game. His effort was sharp and he wanted the Knicks to win that game. This Knicks team needs Anthony to be this leader that will do anything to get the win. Right now Anthony is the hot hand and the Knicks will continue to ride him for the rest of the season.

The rest of the team has to be effective tonight and not just rely on Anthony to score every time down. In the last game everyone wasn’t as effective and Anthony was able to carry the team that day. Every night Anthony will not be able to score the ball like he did Sunday, so the team will have to try to be more helpful tonight.

Defensively the Knicks have shown improvement and tonight they will have to prove that they can play on the road. So far this season the Knicks have struggled on the road, they have come out in most games to stagnant and lack the ability to move the ball. Tonight they will need to come out looking to get the offense rolling by moving the ball and then get Anthony his shots and touches.

Tonight’s game will be televised on MSG and ESPN at 9:30 PM. The Knicks are looking to get their third consecutive win tonight and could do it if they continue to play hard. Let’s go Knicks!
