Pre-Game: Knicks vs. Cavaliers 7:30 PM

image

The New York Knicks will play the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. The Knicks have clinched a playoff spot and tonight can keep improving their record to close out the regular season. Some very good news from the Knicks is that F Amare Stoudemire will start tonight and will play for about 20 minutes tonight. Also the Knicks signed C Dan Gadzuric earlier today and he is with the team. It is unknown if Gadzuric will play tonight, but he will be with the team.

The Knicks are coming off a win against the New Jersey Nets. In that game the Knicks played well as a team and everyone was able to contribute. Tonight the team will have to play good and keep the Cavaliers from winning this game. Right now the Knicks have to possibility to move up in the standings, but it will take the Orlando Magic to have a major collapse for the Knicks to get that spot. Now that the Knicks are in the playoffs they have to work on things to get better in hopes of getting further in the playoffs.

Carmelo Anthony has been very good over the last 13 games, but tonight he will be moved back to his small forward spot and things may change for him. The concern for the Knicks now is meshing Anthony and Stoudemire. Tonight is a nice night the Knicks can get some of the chemistry back with the two.

The Knicks have been getting excellent production from JR Smith over the last couple of weeks. He has been getting in double figures in just about every game. His ability to score makes him very important off the Knicks bench. Him and Steve Novak have really been a nice combination because both can get the Knicks some very nice three pointers. When they are both hitting the Knicks are scary good. The team will continue to win as long as those two continue to be consistent scorers.

This game will be televised on MSG at 7:30 PM. The Knicks are looking to get their third win in a row and continue to improve on the season. Let’s go Knicks!
