Pre-Game: Nationals vs. Mets 7:10 PM

image

The New York Mets are coming off a three game sweep of the Atlanta Braves. Tonight the Mets will face the Washington Nationals at Citi Field. Mike Pelfrey looks to out duel Edwin Jackson in tonight’s game.

Over the last three games, everything has gone the Mets way. Their pitching has been very good in the three games this season, but can it continue? Tonight the Mets will send Mike Pelfrey to the mound. This is a major game for him tonight to show that he is improving and that he can win the team some games. His pitching looked much better towards the end of spring, but tonight he has to come out and pitch well.

The offense for the Mets has been very good over the first three games. David Wright and Daniel Murphy have started this season locked in at the plate. Wright has a homerun and is looking to drive the ball to all parts of the field. Right now the Mets have a solid lineup that will produce runs. Lucas Duda had two homeruns in the second game of the season and is proving that he will have a big season.

So far the Mets have played really well and tonight they can continue their really nice start to their season. This game will be televised on SNY and can be heard on WFAN 660. Let’s go Mets!
