Heat get past Knicks; Win 106-94

The New York Knicks fought hard tonight, but their season is over. Tonight the Knicks fell to the Heat 106-94. The Knicks trailed for most of the game, they tried their best, but just couldn’t get over the hump. Carmelo Anthony did most of the damage for the Knicks as he scored 35 points. This season ended well for Anthony and he has plenty to build upon in the offseason.

The Heat took the Knicks down tonight and LeBron James led the way for the Heat. James scored 29 points tonight and really played well. He is the best in the league in having a all-around game. Tonight James had 8 rebounds and 7 assists. His ability to impact the game in everyway makes him the best player in the league. Tonight James proved that he could just pick the Knicks apart in everyway. Dwyane Wade came through for his team as well, scoring 19 points. Wade made it easy for his team by making smart decisions. Both James and Wade have taken the Heat to the next round and those two should have a big series against the Pacers.

The Knicks failed tonight in running a smooth productive offense. Mike Bibby played very well tonight as he scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists. Bibby helped get the Knicks off to a nice start tonight, but once Bibby was taken out of the game the Knicks really struggled. Toney Douglas played only 6 minutes tonight and never really could get into a rhythm on the floor. Douglas should be back with the team next season, but this season was a real disappointment from him.

A season that started with so much hype and expectations, ends in utter disappointment. The offseason starts now for the Knicks. Mike Woodson is expected to be back, but right now nothing is written in stone. For the Heat they will move on to face the third seeded Indiana Pacers. That series should be very physical and involve plenty of emotion. For now the Knicks season is over and that is it for this season.
