This afternoon the Miami Heat will look to finish off the New York Knicks in possibly the final game of the series. Right now the Heat lead 3-0 in the series and need just one more win to end the series. The Heat have been the much better team. Today they will likely take this game and move onto the next round. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have played a vital role in this series. James is playing really well and is showing that he can be the leader for that team. His ability to create for others makes him very important for the Heat. Today look for James to be dominant in this game as he looks to help finish off the Knicks.
These playoffs have been nothing more than disappointing for the Knicks. Carmelo Anthony has been shut down in these playoffs and his success hasn’t been good in the playoffs as a Knick. Anthony scored 22 points in game 3, but scoring that was a real struggle. The Heat have played outstanding defense on him and he really hasn’t been able to make any adjustments. Today he will need to help the team try to win at least one game to keep their season alive. It doesn't look good for the Knicks, but they can try to string together a couple of wins.
Amare Stoudemire will try to play today, but it’s unknown if he will. Stoudemire has only played in 3 playoff games as a Knick. He has been a major disappoint for the Knicks in the postseason. If he does play he will have to do a better job on the defensive end. The Knicks have played better on that end of the floor in his absence, but have struggled offensively when he doesn’t play. Look for Josh Harrellson to see playing time if Stoudemire is out today. Harrellson did an excellent job in his opportunity in game 3, but only played for five minutes. He is very good in getting rebounds and playing with a defensive mindset. Hopefully today he can see an increase in minutes to help the team.
The series is likely over for the Knicks, but they can try to prolong their ending today. This game will be televised on ABC at 3:30 PM. Can the Knicks finally get a win or will the Heat move on? Tune in to ABC to find out. Let’s go Knicks!
