The New York Mets will try to get the series win today against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Mets received excellent starting pitching yesterday as Johan Santana received his first win of the season.
Today R.A. Dickey will get the start for the Mets today looking to continue his nice pitching. Dickey has pitched very well this season and tonight he will face a lineup that hasn’t faced the knuckleball. Dickey has been very good for the Mets over the couple of seasons. This season Dickey is showing that he can be very effective if his knuckleball is working. If not he can be very hittable and that could really hurt the team. Today look for Dickey to be very good and get the win for the team.
Coming off a four hit performance, Daniel Murphy continues to hit the ball well. Murphy isn’t a power hitter, but he is always able to get on base. Many say that Murphy is the best hitter on the team. His ability to hit to all anywhere on the field makes him very tough to defend. With that said, Murphy will try to be that hitter today against the D-Backs.
This game will be televised on SNY at 1:10 PM and will be on WFAN 660 AM at the same time. The Mets will try to get another series win today if they can they will improve to 15-13. This is will be a nice game for the Mets to win simply because they go on the road this week. Any added momentum is good as they try to continue winning. Let’s go Mets!
