Pre-Game: Mets vs. Pirates 7:05 PM

The New York Mets will play the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at PNC Park. The Mets are coming off a 2-1 series lost to the Toronto Blue Jays and now find themselves only three games over .500. The Mets have struggled in certain points of the season, but so far have found ways to get wins. This series could bring the Mets back into the top of the standings or bring them further down in the standings. Right now the Mets are sitting in the third spot in the division. This series will be very interesting to watch simply because the Mets seem to be back on track. David Wright returned to the lineup yesterday after missing one game, Wright continues to dominate the plate. Yesterday Wright went 2 for 4 and continues to bring his average up. As of now Wright has a average of .412 and has an average of .514 over his last ten games. This season Wright is showing that when healthy, he is still an elite talent. Can he lead the Mets to another win? That will be answered tonight when the Mets face off against the Pirates. Let’s go Mets!
