Today the New York Mets officially announced they have reinstated C Josh Thole and have selected the contract of RHP Elvin Ramirez. As a result of those two roster moves the Mets have designated RHP Chris Schwinden for assignment and have sent C Rob Johnson to Triple-A Buffalo. Thole is in the lineup today and will bat seventh. Ramirez will be in the bullpen and will be available to pitch tonight.
