Tonight the New York Knicks selected Kosta Papanikolaou a 6-8 Forward from Greece. Papanikolaou will likely join the team in the next couple of years, but right now will stay in Greece and play for them. Papanikolaou was drafted 48th of the second round tonight.
This was a very low-risk draft pick for the Knicks. This could be a steal in the draft simply because he has the potential to be a nice player. Papanikolaou is very solid defensively with excellent instincts. He also has the ability to spot up shoot which would make him very valuable. One thing scouts say that he is a very tough competitor. This draft choice could be a nice one for the Knicks if everything pans out correctly.
