The New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 tonight earning their 41st win of the season. After losing four straight games the Mets have two wins in a row. Tonight the Mets were great in getting the lead. After getting the lead on a David Wright RBI double and a Wright solo homerun. The Mets gave up the lead in the 4th inning, but in the 5th inning they were able to get the lead back on a Andres Torres RBI double.
The offense came through tonight and the pitching was able to match that great offensive execution. Chris Young started for the Mets giving up just two runs in 6.1 innings tonight. Young continues to have very nice outings and tonight was another really nice effort by him. Young had six strikeouts tonight and gave up six hits.
The Mets will continue their series with the Dodgers tomorrow night as R.A. Dickey goes to the mound.
