The New York Mets officially announced that OF Mike Baxter will go on the 15-day disabled list with a displaced right collarbone and fractured rib cartilage next to the sternum. Baxter made an amazing catch that preserved Johan Santana’s no-hitter, but injured himself when he crashed into the left field wall. To fill Baxter’s roster spot, the Mets have recalled Josh Satin from Triple-A Buffalo.
