Pre-Game: Cardinals vs. Mets 4:10 PM

After a very emotional night the New York Mets will continue their series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Last night was an epic performance by Johan Santana who no-hit the Cardinals for the first Met no-hitter in franchise history. Santana led the team by just persevering through his injuries to comeback and dominate a team last night. That performance will give the Mets so much momentum that they will not know how to contain it. Today the Mets will have to play hard and make sacrifices to get the job done today. This season has been very good for the Mets thus far and winning is making this season very special. With all of the off-season mess, the Mets have comeback stronger then ever and this season is starting to look very promising for them.

Lucas Duda had a very nice night at the plate last night. Duda went 1 for 3 with a homerun and four RBI’s. He really is starting to hit for power and is starting to get locked-in at the plate. Over the last two games Duda has three homers and seven RBI’s. His ability to hit for power makes him a threat in the lineup every single game. Today expect the power to continue for Duda simply because he is locked-in and is facing a new pitcher for the first time. This game will be very important for the Mets. They need this win just to continue the momentum from last night. This season they have shown that they can beat teams with a .500 record or better. Today they will need to continue that against one of the best National League teams. Let’s go Mets!
