Reds defeat Mets 4-1

The New York Mets were unable to get their offense off the ground tonight. The Mets were able to get a run in the first inning, but that would be the only run for them in this game. Jon Niese served up a three-run homerun in the first inning and that would be the deficit the Mets would lose at. Niese really struggled early in this game and really tried his best to keep his team in the game, but the offense was stalled tonight.

There were some great opportunities for the Mets to get runs, but they could never convert on those opportunities. On this night the Mets were never able to put pressure on the Reds, leading to a very nice win for them. This series will conclude tomorrow afternoon as the Mets look to avoid the sweep.
