The New York Knicks have acquired center Marcus Camby via a sign-and-trade from the Houston Rockets. The Knicks sent guard Toney Douglas, center Josh Harrellson, and center Jerome Jordan to the Rockets. The Knicks also send a 2014 second round pick and a 2015 second round pick to the Rockets. Lastly the Knicks will pay send cash to the Rockets to pay for Toney Douglas’ contract.
Camby is due to make $13.2 million over three years. Camby played for the Knicks from 1999 to 2002. His return will be very beneficial to the Knicks. Camby is 38 years old, but he is still a very solid rebounder. This was an excellent pick up by the Knicks, who now have an excellent back up to Tyson Chandler.
