Tonight the Los Angeles Dodgers were able to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Mets. This game was tough to watch at times as both teams committed five errors. The Mets made an error in the biggest part of the game, which allowed the Dodgers to blow the game open.
Dillon Gee started for the Mets going six innings allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits. Not only did Gee struggle tonight, but the bullpen continues to pitch poorly for the Mets. Between the poor pitching and poor defense the Mets crumbled in this game.
Nonetheless the Mets were still able to walk away with a 3-1 series win. They have to continue to fight and get wins and prove the doubters wrong. But for tonight the Mets were unable to get the win and will have to get back on track against the Phillies on Tuesday.
WP: Clayton Kershaw (6-4)
LP: Dillon Gee (5-7)
