JR Smith resigns with Knicks

Today JR Smith agreed to re-sign with the New York Knicks for two years worth $2.8 million in the first year. Smith will have a player option in the second year of the contract. Smith is expected to sign the contract sometime on Wednesday.

Last season Smith was a very strong player for the Knicks off the bench. He was able to help the team with energy and by knocking down big time shots. Now that he is back with the team he may be the starting shooting guard, but only time will tell. Smith averaged 12.5 points off the bench last season.
