The New York Knicks fell to the Memphis Grizzles today in their very first Summer League game. The Knicks had an excellent showing from newly signed forward James White. He really came on late in this game as he really put his game on display. White scored four points, but he was able to dish out seven assists. Those assists were really important for the Knicks, who were able to get back into the game after trailing by 20+ points.
Other standouts included: Wesley Witherspoon (15 points and 5 rebounds) & Artsiom Parakhouski (13 points and 8 rebounds).
This game the Knicks came out very slow and never could get into an offensive flow. This game ended better then it started. The Knicks will just have to build on this game and come out stronger tomorrow.
Chris Smith, brother of JR Smith, had eight points in ten minutes of action. The Knicks will play the Phoenix Suns tomorrow afternoon, where they will try to capture their first win.
