The New York Knicks played the Denver Nuggets today trying to capture their first win of the Summer League. This was a much better game from the Knicks in so many ways, but they were still unable to get a win. Chris Copeland really showed some nice offensive game today as he scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 22 minutes of action today.
The Knicks struggled to close out this game despite having the lead late in this game. They really did a nice job in keeping the game close, but they were unable to grab rebounds late in the game to finish of defensive stops.
Wesley Witherspoon played really well today as he scored 12 points off the bench. Witherspoon has shown that he can contribute off the bench. His outside shot has been very nice to see and he could possibly get a roster spot if he continues to play well.
James White played in his final Summer League game today. White scored 11 points in 22 minutes of playing time. White will be with the Knicks this season and seems to be a nice role player that the Knicks have picked up.
The Summer League will continue for the Knicks on Thursday when they face the Toronto Raptors.
