The Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Mets tonight 4-0 tonight at Citi Field. The Mets really struggled at the plate tonight as they only collected three hits. This team continues to have nights when they struggle offensively.
Matt Harvey struggled at times tonight, but did retire the last nine batters he faced. Harvey went six innings allowing two runs on two hits. The struggle for Harvey was that he walked five batters and that really made it tough for him to get through innings.
Scott Hairston and Rob Johnson had two of the Met hits tonight, but they were both stranded on second base after hitting doubles. The only other hit came from Daniel Murphy who had a single.
The Mets will continue this series with the Braves tomorrow and Sunday.
