Maybe there is an issue with Johan Santana. Tomorrow he is scheduled for an MRI on his back after experiencing stiffness after throwing a bullpen session.
Santana has currently given up 33 earned runs over his last five games. Santana did spend time on the disabled list with a sprained ankle. Now he has a back issue and his start Thursday is in jeopardy or maybe even the rest of the season. Right now the severity of the injury is unknown.
