During tonight’s game Mets center fielder Andres Torres was injured after making a very tough catch. Torres made the catch going into right field, but would land awkwardly on his left knee. His knee actually dug into the turf causing a huge divot in the turf. Torres did walk off the field under his own power, which is a good sign.
Update:
The New York Mets are calling the injury a bruised left knee. Torres is day to day.
