Knicks add Thompson and Dunn to coaching staff

Via NY Post:

Mike Woodson has added two assistant coaches, former Penn State head coach, Jerry Dunn, and LaSalle Thompson.

In addition, the Knicks will use Chris Ford as a coaching consultant, as he was at Tuesday’s first day of practice. They have also hired shooting coach, Dave Hopla.

Dunn was 117-121 in eight years at Penn State, resigning in 2003. He most recently was the associate head coach at Michigan from 2007-'09. Thompson had a 15-year career in the NBA and played with Woodson in Sacramento. The Knicks didn't formally announce any of the moves. Dunn and Thompson replace Kenny Atkinson, who quit to join the Hawks staff.
