Today the New York Knicks announced that they have exercised the third-year option on Iman Shumpert. Last season Shumpert became a rising star with his outstanding defense and his dunking ability.
This was a no brainer for the Knicks. Shumpert has the ability to be one of the best on ball defenders in the league. Last year he was a very important part of the Knicks defense and helped them with a improved defense.
Shumpert will miss the start of the season and is expected to return between December and February.
