Anthony leads Knicks past Bucks 102-88

The New York Knicks defeated the Milwaukee Bucks tonight to earn their 10th win of the season. Outscoring the Bucks 30-22, the Knicks were able to build a sizable lead that they would never relinquish. With the final score 102-88, the Knicks won in yet another blow out.

Leading the team was Carmelo Anthony as he scored 29 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Anthony was very efficient from all areas of his game tonight. He shot 50% from the field and shot 75% from long range. He really has been the consistent force for the Knicks from the offensive end for the early part of the season. Anthony played 30 minutes tonight after playing 50 minutes in the last game.

The play of the two point guards in Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni tonight were superb. Felton scored 12 points and dished out 7 assists while Prigioni scored 11 points and dished out 7 assists. Both played a large role in a very efficient offense. Felton was a demon on the defense as he racked up 4 steals. Felton played really well with Prigioni and both really impacted the game nicely.

Steve Novak was a huge spark off the bench as he scored 19 points including five three pointers. This was a nice break out game for Novak, who seemed to finally find his stroke. Novak’s production off the bench is huge for the Knicks if they’re going to be successful. So far this season the Knicks have done well without Novak really having an impact, but in certain games Novak’s production will be important.

Tonight the Knicks won a very tough game considering their past struggles against the Bucks. They are now 10-4 on the season and continue to impress early this season.

It is also worth noting that Jason Kidd missed his second consecutive game with back spasms. Kidd remains day to day, but he could be out for awhile longer.

The Knicks will play the Washington Wizards when they return home on Friday night.
