The New York Knicks defeated the Indiana Pacers today 88 to 76. With this win the Knicks improve to 7-1 on the season.
This was a very nice win for the Knicks who struggled to score at points in this game. They shot 36% from the floor and really had trouble in hitting three pointers.
But all season they have played outstanding defense and today they were able to force turnovers and force the Pacers into tough shots.
Carmelo Anthony was solid to start this game as he scored 16 points in the first half. Early on Anthony was very efficient with his jump shot and was able to help the Knicks get out to an early lead. Anthony would score 26 points and grab 9 rebounds.
JR Smith scored 13 points off the bench while starter Raymond Felton scored 11 points. Both continue to score for this team in different spots in the game. As the season goes on they will be very important for the success of the team.
Off the bench Steve Novak scored 9 points on 3 of 9 shooting. Novak really has struggled to hit three pointers, but today Novak was able to find some great opportunities to score.
This was a very nice win for the Knicks who struggled at points in this game. The Knicks will face the New Orleans Hornets Tuesday night hoping to build off this win.
