Frustrated Knicks fall to Bulls 110-106

The New York Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls tonight 110-106. After trailing by 25 points, the Knicks battled back, but it was too late.

Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Joakim Noah, and Mike Woodson would all be ejected in this game. Anthony was called for his second technical, Chandler and Noah got into it, and Mike Woodson would also receive his second technical. This game was poorly officiated from the start and that led to issues late in this game.

Before his ejection, Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points. The Bulls did an excellent job in holding him down for the most part. They used a variety of defenders on him and really were able to get physical. Anthony was frustrated from the start. He was being hit countless times inside and the calls were missed. He really had enough late in this game with the missed calls and was ejected.

JR Smith had an excellent game off the bench. Smith scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 31 minutes of play. Smith would foul out in the fourth quarter when the Knicks were making a push to cut the Bulls lead. Smith was on from long range, he would connect on four three pointers. Smith’s play has really been improving over the last couple of games and tonight really made an effort to help his team.

Tonight was a rough night for the Knicks. They were flat from the start and everything seemed to go against them. They have to regroup as a unit and move on past this loss.

Raymond Felton scored 21 points in what was another poor shooting performance for him. Felton would shoot 9 of 21 from the field including 0 for 4 from long range.

The Knicks will play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night to finish off their six game home stand. Tonight the Knicks fell to the Bulls 110-106 in what was a wild game.
