Knicks defeat T-Wolves 94-91

Despite trailing by 11 points in this game, the New York Knicks would comeback and win this game. Their effort in the second half was much improved and their shots started to fall. Defensively they looked more together and won this game as a group on that end of the floor.

Carmelo Anthony was the star performer tonight as he scored 33 points. Anthony was held to 9 in the first half, but in the second half Anthony was able to erupt for 24 points. He really took this game over and really attacked the rim. His shots weren’t falling early on but in the fourth quarter Anthony shot 5 for 8 from the field and really pulled this win out for his team. The level of which Anthony is playing at is amazing. He continues to led the team on the offensive end and is making smart decisions with the ball.

Off the bench, JR Smith scored 19 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists. He was a spark that really was able to keep the Knicks in this game. The Knicks trailed early and Smith was needed to keep the game close. They were able to keep it close and in the fourth quarter they finally were able to grab the lead.

Tyson Chandler scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in tonight’s win. Chandler didn’t have an impact early in this game, but was able to find his game in the second half. Raymond Felton scored 15 points in tonight’s win as he played 38 minutes. Both Chandler and Felton really had a much better second half, as both combined for 16 points.

Tonight the Knicks made crucial stops when they needed too. They won this game with excellent late game execution. The Knicks would outscore the T-Wolves 48-36 in the second half and that was the difference. The Knicks will play the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday afternoon as they look for their 21st win.
