Smith lifts Knicks past Bobcats

JR Smith hit one of his biggest shots this season. With the game on the line Smith was able nail a buzzer beater to win the game. The Knicks would win 100-98 earning them their 13th win of the season. Smith struggled for the most part during this game, but late in this game really propelled the Knicks to victory. Smith scored 13 points tonight in a very cold night shooting for him.

The real story tonight was the injury to Carmelo Anthony who lacerated his middle finger, per MSG. Anthony was struggling before his injury, but he did score 23 points before he left. This team really thrives when Anthony is able to score, but in the second half tonight Anthony really struggled. His shot was off in that half and he made only one field goal in the entire half. Head Coach Mike Woodson said after the game that Anthony will play tomorrow against the Miami Heat.

Tyson Chandler was a beast on the boards tonight, collecting a season high 17 rebounds. Chandler was all over the court with high energy and excellent timely. His offensive game was also strong as he scored 18 points. This was a very nice performance by Chandler who really provides for this team every night.

In his return to Charlotte, Raymond Felton put on a show scoring 17 points and dishing out 9 assists. Tonight was a very nice homecoming for Felton who spent most of his basketball career in North Carolina.

Tonight was a very tough game for the Knicks, but they were able to get the win. Games like tonight really build character. This was a nice win against a Bobcat team that is much improved. The Knicks will play the Miami Heat tomorrow night looking to keep the good times rolling.
