Curry drops 54 points; But Knicks win 109-105 over Warriors

What are wild game at Madison Square Garden! The performance by Stephen Curry was utterly ridiculous. Curry would score a career high 54 points. His shot was falling the entire night. Three after three, Curry would make 11 threes, falling one shy of tying an NBA record. He really did all he could do in this game for his team, but they came up a bit short.

For the Knicks, defensively they did everything they could to stop Curry, but nothing worked. Raymond Felton made some huge plays defensively to win this game. Including a huge block shot on Curry. Felton didn’t have his shot tonight, but he did make plays late to win the game.

Carmelo Anthony scored a team high 35 points and also had a season high 8 assists tonight. Anthony really played well overall and did his best to get the team the win. This was one of his better all around games and it came at the perfect time. Anthony also was able to find Amare Stoudemire for easy baskets. Stoudemire would score 14 points off the bench on six of seven shooting. This was a very nice sight to see between the two. Both played off each other and really looked like chemistry is starting to build.

Without JR Smith tonight, the Knicks would have been lost. Smith scored 26 points off the bench in a very nice performance. Smith made six three pointers tonight and really shot the ball well. He has really played well after struggling for a few games. Tonight Smith showed that he is one of the best off the bench and that he can be unstoppable if left unguarded.

Tyson Chandler grabbed a career high 28 rebounds tonight in what was a dominating performance. From the start, Chandler really wanted rebounds. He grabbed 13 rebounds in the first quarter alone and really made it his duty to grab every rebound he could.

This win gives the Knicks 34 wins on the season. They have struggled recently, but tonight continued to make strides in the right direction. From this point on the Knicks schedule will get a whole lot tougher. They will next face the Washington Wizards on Friday night. Tonight was a big win and a game that they needed to win, they were able to get it done and earn the win.
