Knicks streak reaches 10; Defeat Hawks 95-82

The New York Knicks won their 10th straight game tonight with their win over the Atlanta Hawks tonight.

This game was close through the first three quarters, but the Knicks had a dominating fourth quarter to close out this game. That quarter saw the Knicks outscore the Hawks 27-14. They dominated on the defense and contested all of the Hawks shots. This was one of the best fourth quarters of the season.

Carmelo Anthony was unstoppable yet again tonight as he scored 40 points. Anthony scored 50 yesterday and tonight continued scoring at a remarkable pace. With his 40 points tonight, Anthony becomes the first Knick to score at least 40 points in back to back games since Patrick Ewing in 1989-90.

This was another great performance and it comes in another win. He rarely over shot tonight and really made attacking a main stake tonight.

Without Raymond Felton in the fourth quarter, the outcome of this game may be different. Felton scored 14 points in the game, but scored 10 points in the fourth quarter alone. Felton was the spark in the fourth quarter that the Knicks needed. They struggled to pull away from the Hawks, but his ability to get to the basket really broke the Hawks tonight.

JR Smith was also a dominating force in the fourth quarter as he scored 10 points as well. Smith would score 19 points for the game, but he really made his mark in the fourth quarter. Smith made some ridiculous shots. Those shots were also backbreakers to the Hawks. His play really came up big in the end after struggles early in the game.

This was another great win for the Knicks and one that pulls them closer to 50 wins. They now have 48 wins after this great ten game stretch. They also have 10 straight wins for the sixth time in franchise history.

The Knicks will next face the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. That game will be another important game for the Knicks, in their quest to 50 wins.
