Around the Playoffs: 6/3/2013

The Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers to advance to the NBA Finals. The Heat will now play the San Antonio Spurs looking for a second consecutive NBA Championship. This game was close early, but the Heat would clamp down on the defensive end and force turnovers to blow this game wide open. The Pacers fought all season and gave the Heat a very hard fought series win. They couldn’t sustain consistent offense, resulting in this lopsided loss.

LeBron James was stellar tonight, scoring a game high 32 points. James continued an excellent series in which he was really was the only consistent Heat player. Tonight he attacked the Pacers and that would result in him getting to the free throw line for 15-of-16 attempts.

Dwyane Wade bounced back nicely as he scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Wade really looked like the Wade of old tonight and gave the crowd some spectacular moves. Wade has played poorly in this series, but tonight’s performance definitely came at the right time.
